Mr. Copacabana is the outrageous life story of Monte Proser, creator and operator of the famous Copacabana nightclub in New York City in 1940. Monte's life story is a sweeping epic of the early 20th century through the eyes of one of the most colorful characters in American history. Because he was the involuntary partner of a series of the most powerful gangsters of the era, Monte's story is also a keyhole view of the struggle between crime and conscience in America. It is a history of America at night.

I trained as a photojournalist and went on to write, produce and direct film and television projects. My first novel, "I'm Staying with My Boys..." is the story of World War II hero Sgt. John Basilone. It was published by St. Martin's Press in 2008 and was awarded the prestigious United States Marine Corps Commandant's Recommendation in 2010. My second novel "Mr. Copacabana; An American History by Night" is the biography of my father, Monte Proser, creator of the iconic Copacabana nightclub. The book has been optioned for television production in 2016 and is in development as a theatrical stage presentation.
