Best known as the original lead singer of Philadelphia soul legends Blue Magic, Ted Mills was originally hired by the group's label as a staff songwriter. When Ted's talent as a masterful singer became well apparent, the label decided to form a group around him and Blue Magic was born. Here Ted performs Blue Magic's "Spell," a popular hit that he wrote for the group. Also included is an exclusive TV version which is an instrumental with back-up vocals.
