A master of the ancient Japanese instrument known as the koto, a traditional stringed instrument that is the national instrument of Japan, Keiko Matsuo is featured here leading a Japanese traditional instrument ensemble performing 18th century traditional music of Japan from what is known as the Edo period. An authentic vintage recording, all selections have been newly remastered.
