Davis, Mary Perrone: - MARY PERRONE DAVIS is a wife, mother, grandmother, Lay Carmelite, Registered Nurse (working as a school nurse), and a children's author. Mary never planned to be an author. She was spending some quiet time outside on a women's retreat when a butterfly landed nearby and her first book, Mary's Butterfly Garden, was born. She hopes that her love of The Lord is reflected in her books and in her life.Williams, Nancy E.: - Nancy E. Williams began her professional career in 1980 when she opened a commercial graphics and design studio in Atlanta, Georgia. During that time, Nancy landed a contract to edit and produce Christian books. She knew she had found her niche. After closing the graphics company over a decade later, Nancy continued to work as a freelance book -editor and web developer. With a heart for helping people, she saw authors struggling to find the right resources for publishing their books. Some of them made unwise decisions, and others fell prey to unscrupulous vendors. She knew she had knowledge and -experience that could help guide them. In 2009, she opened The Laurus Company, Inc., a full-service publishing corporation. The company has grown and expanded to an international market. Nancy has also served in city government, having been elected to two terms on the board of aldermen in her small Texas town before filling the offices of mayor and municipal judge. She has been very active in church, serving as Secretary/Treasurer in one church and office manager in another. Nancy is now an ordained minister. She raised four successful children and now takes delight in watching her grandchildren grow into responsible adults.Forrest, Grace Metzger: - GRACE METZGER FORREST graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta in 1990. Her career has included animating children's CDs- making dinosaur eggs hatch and bean seeds grow. She has created animated mutating cells for the CDC, presentations for Coca-Cola Corp., video game scenes, and JELL-O creatures for Cartoon Network. One of her projects won a New Media Invision Bronze. Grace works in her studio near the Chesapeake Bay and shares a junior farm with her husband and daughter, complete with a garden, brown eggs, and two goats.
