Marmalade Memoirs is not just a reminiscence of my childhood and growing up years but also an intellectual exploration into the meaning of life. The interactions that we have with people, places, things, events, and much else, become a large part of our living reality. A reflective meditation of what it means to live in our respective realities while negotiating the extraneous influences of society, culture, language, gender etc. is a central theme of this book. Interweaving personal memories with the larger philosophical questions of faith, spirituality, identity, and purpose, this book deconstructs the predicament of human existence. Living a life of purpose and meaning is a choice that we can make consciously, provided we recognize correctly what this 'purpose' or 'meaning' is for each one of us.
