Even if you already have some Mardi Gras music in your collection, you should add this excellent 2-LP set, remastered and presented on swirl and colored vinyl. You get four different Mardi Gras Indian bands playing long and funky versions of some traditional songs and likely a few you don't have elsewhere. These arrangements and performances are more like you would hear on the street and not cut down to make singles for radio play. Excellent liner notes offer a history of the bands and the songs. Great party music any time of the year. If this doesn't make you feel good, you might be dead!
