Man of the Eastern Shore: The World War II Letters of James Bordley Jr. MD
The book has the letters of a Baltimore doctor to his two physician sons with the Hopkins 118th General Hospital in the Pacific during WW II. The older son became the commanding officer. The letters tell how the war affected the city, the family and the hospitals whose staffs largely had vanished to the war effort.
