Lounès Matoub or Matoub Lounès, is a Kabyle singer, interpreter and poet, engaged since his beginnings in the Berber identity claim. Since the release of his first album A Yizem anda tellid? (O lion where are you?) Matoub Lounes celebrates the fighters of independence and castigates the leaders of Algeria to whom he blames for having usurped the power and curbing the freedom of expression.
