Professor Jason Carr, with a possible dementia diagnosis in his future, agrees to have his DNA tested to look for the telltale markers. A shocking revelation in the results compel him to return to the now-abandoned American military base in Germany where he attended high school in the 1980s. As a graphic design historian and researcher, the trip also compels him to visit a monastery in the Eifel mountains of Germany to continue his study on Gothic typography and transcendent messaging.
