Loretta / Ride With Me (Digital 45)

Recorded and released in 1963 for the little known Success label, Little Larry's excellent rhythm and blues based single "Loretta" b/w "Ride With Me" features a guitar driven blues rave-up on the A side and more excellent guitar work is featured on the rollicking flip, strongly reminiscent of the Howlin' Wolf band of the late 1950s and early ;'60s. Success was a short-lived 1960's label out of Des Moines, Iowa that released a handful of singles and one LP in it's brief existence. Most of their recordings were dedicated to vocal groups such as doo-wop, although this single is pure rhythm and blues at it's finest. This rare single is presented here newly remastered for this exclusive release. .
