Neil Shelton is the creator and publisher of "Homestead.org, the Homesteader's Free Library" (www.homestead.org) where many of his writings on rural subjects, as well as hundreds of short articles by other authors appear. He wrote "The Everything Backyard Farming Book" for F+W Media in 2013. Neil grew up in the backwoods of the Ozark Hills and has spent over forty years dealing in rural land, eventually creating the first online land sales site (www.ozarkland.com) in 1996. The experiences gained over this period went into his second book, "LandBook: the small landowner's guide to buying, improving, maintaining, and selling rural land." in 2014. The "Landbook Second Edition" was published in 2016. He and his lovely and talented wife, Olga live in a large forest in a remote section of the Ozarks.
