La Tipica Orquesta de Tango

This ensemble is a delightful reminder of the "orquestas tipicas" who led the dance in the chaotic, rebellious and yet hard-working Buenos Aires of the 1940-50s. La Tipica is an old-school orchestra - a group of fourteen tango musicians led by the world-famous Juan Cedron, founder of the Cuarteto Cedron, playing tangos, milongas, candombes and waltzes, all strongly rooted in a musical past that may be danced all night long.
