Confidential / Jail Bird

Joseph C. Smith, better known as Sonny Knight, started his recording career for Alladin Records in 1953. Sonny recorded Dorinda Morgan's song "Confidential," an R&B ballad with backing supplied by the Ernie Freeman Combo which included Plas Johnson on tenor sax, Irving Ashby on guitar and Freeman himself on piano. The record came out on the small Vita label from Pasadena and became a hit, peaking at #8 on the R&B chart in the autumn of 1956. Presented here is the original single, with the original "B" side, "Jail Bird." Newly remastered.
