This book takes you on the 80-plus-year journey of the Prophet Daniel, filling in details not found in the book of Daniel from the Old Testament and historical records. Our journey begins with a fascinating story of the Hebrew captives taken from Jerusalem to Babylon and forced into King Nebuchadnezzar's service. Yet, this is not only a story about Hebrew slaves. It is also the story of how the God of Heaven rules in the lives of men and returns His people to their homeland. This book uses reasoned arguments and historical writings to clarify and justify the events found in Daniel's narratives, which reveal a loving God working for His wayward, rebellious people. Even so, the lessons learned are not just ancient stories of the past. They have timeless lessons, impactful messages, and heavenly insight for us in the 21st century. Perry Louden is an avid researcher of religion and history. He majored in Christian studies at Lipscomb University and received a Master of Arts. Louden received a Doctorate in literacy studies from Middle Tennessee State University. He has been a school teacher for 23 years and has taught classes at the university level. During the COVID pandemic, he began studying the book of Daniel and authored the book "Daniel 11: A Message for God's End-time People." He continued his studies, delving into the narratives and timeline of Daniel and how the biblical text and historical records can be reconciled. Louden is the program manager for a Community Emergency Response Team, a member of the VFW, spends time working with special needs students, and has a knack for solving difficult jigsaw puzzles. He and his wife live in Bradyville, Tennessee, where he is an elder in his local church.
