Summer Groove

One of the great early soul music groups, The Joneses had their first club hit in 1974 with "Sugar Pie Guy." The group consisted of Harold Taylor on saxophone and lead vocals, arranger / producer / guitarist Lee Valentine - Glen Dorsey, who wrote most of the group's material, on bass - the great Richard Tee on keyboards and arranging, and Richard Pratt on congas. In 1981, the group released the funky single "Summer Groove b/w Summer Groove (Moving-On)." This ultra rare single is presented here newly remastered for this exclusive release. .
