Containing the last pieces of music by Franz Liszt known as the Annees de Pelerinage works. If one were to characterize the third volume of the Anne's de Pelerinage in two words, they would be "religion" and "depression." And while much can be said about the first, one can mostly speculate about the latter. This album released on SACD contains a dazzling array of sonic colors that brings to life music from this classic age.
