The nervous system is the most complex biological structure known to human in the universe. Billions of nerve cells, trillions of connections between them and glia cells, called "helper cells", constitute main structure of nervous system. In the light of our present knowledge, this inconceivable complex structure serves as an intermediary unit regulating all life events and behaviors. To understand the nervous system, advanced imagination and three-dimensional thinking are needed. We generally divide nervous system into two parts, central and peripheral nervous system. Environmental system consists of neural cables carrying senses felt from all sides of the body to the center and taking orders from the center to related places such as muscles or secretory glands. So, though not so simple, the peripheral nervous system can be considered as data carrier. The central nervous system, however, evaluates the data coming from the peripheral nervous system, and helps the body adapt to the new states through the orders it produces. In this book, the basic concepts of neurohistology are discussed. The book is aimed to be a basic source for students in health science related schools.
