She was born and raised in Connecticut and spent most of her adult life in Iowa where she retired as professor of economics from the University of Northern Iowa. Her poems have appeared in Lyrical Iowa, Ekphrastic Review, Sandcutters, The Avocet, Unstrung, The Blue Guitar, Fine Lines, and in the anthologies Voices from the Plains, Facing West, Desert Tracks: Poems from the Sonoran Desert, and The Very Edge.
