Phillips, Andrew C.: - Andrew C. Phillips was an Ensign during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he started teaching kindergarten in North Carolina. Years later, as a retired elementary school principal, he pursued performing children's music, writing picture books, middle-grade novels, and an adult novel. He and his wife developed a seminar: "Singing to Read." At their renovated beach house in North Carolina, he delights in their traditional Fourth of July celebrations, showering in the best outdoor shower on the beach, and relaxing on the screened-in porch, where he writes and rewrites stories in his mind while breathing in the ocean breezes. His podcast, The Journey Inside, utilizes original children's songs, stories, and excerpts from his adult novel to share thoughts and dreams about and for our children.
