It's been said that people love to eat! Most all occasions center around eating no matter what that occasion may be. Family and friends gather for holidays, reunions, celebrations, and even funerals. There's always an abundance of food during all types of gatherings. For the most part, food is a comfort. People eat to live... people live to eat.

It took me a long time to learn that difference as I'm sure it has taken many others to understand it as well. Food today is not the same as it was twenty, forty, or even a hundred years ago. Most of the time it's unhealthy, genetically modified, injected with hormones and antibiotics and so many other very unhealthy additives. But we have also learned over time that through many cultures and even "back to nature" types of eating can be very healthy and also extremely delicious.

Did you know that not only do we taste food with our mouths and taste buds, but we taste with our eyes? The first thing we do is see food, then maybe smell it, touch it and of course taste it. It affects the senses and we not only deal with food physically but it can also affect us emotionally and mentally. This is what I want to achieve for you, the reader of this cookbook!

My intent is to take you on an adventure that will touch your soul. I want this adventure through food to help inspire you to think about health, both physical and mental. I want to fill your physical soul with great food and your mental soul with positive vibes and thoughts.
