George's Tales of Yesteryear - Paperback

Many memories last a lifetime. In George's Tales of Yesteryear, author George Goodwin shares some of the memories from his lifetime. Born in 1917 and raised on a farm in southeastern Ohio, Goodwin narrates events of general historic significance and documents his point of view, often with a humorous slant.

In "Hoeing Corn for Potatoes," Goodwin's story reflects the hopelessness of people in his community when the mines closed in 1924 and 1925.
