From Pain into Glorious Hope: A Middle Eastern Woman Testifies of God's Faithfulness Through Her Life is the memoir of Ezies Ebrahim, a Christian woman from the Middle East whose entire life is remarkable evidence of God's grace, sovereignty, healing, and faithfulness. Ezies's compelling stories follow her early years as the daughter of a Christian Senator in Alexandria, Egypt, her marriage into an unfamiliar culture, and her pioneering efforts as the first woman to open a mental health clinic in the Arabian Gulf. Ezies's journey is filled with glorious moments and a fair number of trials and miraculous answers to prayer. In her collection of poetry, devotions, and sixteen compelling stories, Ezies shares how God shaped her through adversity-from navigating her life as a young wife and mother to becoming a trauma specialist and mental health advocate in the Gulf region. From Pain into Glorious Hope is a story full of loss, love, glorious moments, and leaps of faith that will inspire you to trust in God's sovereign plan and embrace His hope and strength. Ezies Ebrahim was born in Alexandria, Egypt, the daughter of an important Christian politician. She married young and had two sons, Samuel and Daniel. As an Arabian Gulf national, she opened the first Christian bookstore and the first Christian-run mental health clinic in the Arabian Gulf, a pioneer in many ways. Ezies has tremendous passion and talent for boldly sharing her faith and providing support to women in difficult circumstances. She holds a master's degree as a mental health professional and an advanced degree as a trauma specialist. She has worked as a cultural relations specialist for the U.S. Embassy and Navy. Her life's passion is to spread the love of Jesus, ministering to people through public speaking, mentoring, writing, radio, and television programs.
