Prime, Jim: - Jim Prime is the author of over 20 books, mostly on the subject of sports. He co-authored Ted Williams' Hit List with the legendary Boston Red Sox hitter and How Hockey Explains Canada with Canadian hockey icon Paul Henderson. He has also collaborated with baseball eccentric Bill Spaceman Lee on two books. He has contributed articles to various magazines including Baseball Digest, Atlantic Insight, Atlantic Advocate, The Ring, Boxing Illustrated, and the Acadia Alumni Bulletin, where he briefly served as editor. He's a five-time winner of the People's Choice award at the Kings Shorts Festival of Ten Minute Plays in Annapolis Royal. Jim grew up in Freeport on Long Island and will always consider himself an islander. He lives in New Minas in the Annapolis Valley with his wife Glenna.Robicheau, Ben: - Ben Robicheau is a recreational writer. He has contributed a series of autobiographical stories about growing up on Brier Island to Passages, the monthly Digby Neck and Islands newsletter. In collaboration with Jim Prime he created the Gurrey and Grime characters and for two years they wrote monthly episodes which appeared in Passages. He also collaborated with Jim on two award-winning plays which were performed at King's Theatre in Annapolis Royal as part of their King's Shorts Ten Minute Play competition. Ben lives with his wife, Randi, in Hamilton, Ontario, close to his children Sarah and Michael and grandchildren Felix, Charlie and Lyla. He is working on a collection of short stories about growing up on Brier Island.Prime, Catherine: - Currently living in Poway, California, Catherine Prime is Nova Scotia born and bred and is very proud of her home province. She graduated from NSCAD in Halifax with a fine arts degree in Ceramics before earning her B.Ed from the University of Western Ontario. Her artistic tastes are eclectic and she works in a variety of mediums, including textiles, clay and graphic art.
