After the great success of the album's predecessor, Deathbringer in 2014, which shook up the scene with it's brachial, heavy power metal, they changed down a gear and now take clearly more traditional power metal paths. As far as song material and production go, Annihilate The Evil is definitely more old school style. The sound is warmer, well rounded off and the guitars are less intrusive, being more integrated into the overall sound.
