An American soul singer with dynamic range and a powerful falsetto, Donnie Elbert had a prolific career from the mid-1950's to the late 1970's. Elbert relocated to the UK in 1966 and upon his return to the US in 1969, had his first US chart hit in over a decade with the single "Can't Get Over Losing You" b/w "I Got To Get Myself Together," released in early 1970 on Swamp Dogg's Rare Bullet label. Presented here is the original 7' vinyl mix of the classic single, newly remastered and finally available in the digital domain.
