Man In The Moon / Teardrops Follow Me (Digital 45)

One of the finest acappella groups to emerge from the East Coast vocal harmony scene in the 1960s, The Del-Capris, formed in Jersey City, New Jersey, are still remembered fondly among record aficionados. The group consisted of Simon Cufta (lead vocals), Mike Nolan (first tenor), Tony Piazza (second tenor) and Jim Esposito (bass baritone). Sadly, the group's recordings were few, including one full-length album and a couple of singles - original copies of which are "must haves" by collectors of this genre. In 1966, the group released the excellent single "Man In The Moon" b/w "Teardrops Follow Me" for Stan Krause's Catamount Records label. Out-of-print for many years, that rare 45 is presented here, newly remastered and finally available in the digital domain. .
