In 1935, a New York private detective Daniel Benson, is down on his luck after losing his family due to his alcholism. He has made it a goal to win his family back but he needs one good case to get the money.

When all hope is about to be lost a client walks in with a job Benson can't refuse. Benson is more than ever ready to get started on his new case but it won't be easy.

As he starts to uncover secrets of his clients, he starts to uncover secrets about himself as well.

The more he uncovers the more people die. Will Benson give up or will he solve the most complicated case he has ever endured?
