A New York-based composer and rock and soul music producer with Georgia roots, Johnny Brantley wrote and produced tunes for The Isley Brothers, Varetta Dillard, Lee Moses, Towanda Barnes, Bobby Brown, The Ohio Players, Jimmy Castor, Lou Donaldon, Jimi Hendrix... The list goes on and on and stretches from the late 1950's to the 2000's. Presented here is one of his many productions - a rare soul single he wrote and produced for the vocalist Janice Cambell. Originally released in 1980 on the Cadillac Records imprint, "Spring" b/w "Falling In Love" is presented here newly remastered and finally available in the digital domain. .
