Mac McCaughan (Merge / Superchunk) cites this as one of his favorite iterations of the band, and for good reason. "Tell Me Why You Lie" ranks among the best of Jefferies' edgy pop songs, while the multi-part "Hole in My Shoe" finishes with a sterling instrumental segment.
