Patrick Hammer Jr.'s poems invite us in to the wise and loving presence of his grandmother and transport us to the Bronx of the 1960s. Hammer's poems are imbued with a strong sense of place and time, filled with the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of his childhood. Through his vivid images we join him on this journey to yesterday.
