Moravek, Joseph: - Joseph Moravek is the HVACR director at Nance Universal HVACR Technical School in Beaumont, Texas, where he is responsible for short- and long-term training course development and updating curriculum. He also occasionally teaches local and overseas HVACR classes for Nance. In addition, he serves as a consultant with Mechanical Training Service, Houston, Texas, doing EPA training, continuing education for contractors and other custom developed coursework. A licensed air conditioning and refrigeration contractor in the state of Texas, he holds several ICE and NATE certifications, is a member of the ASHRAE, CARE and AEE professional organizations and has a master's degree in education. Mr. Moravek started in the HVACR profession in 1976 doing heat load calculation for a federally-funded weatherization program. His experience also includes working as an HVACR technician and inspector for the city of Houston. He served as the HVACR lead instructor at Lee College for 14 years.

McGuirt, Curtis: - Curtis McGuirt is Vice President of Nance International in Beaumont, Texas, where he supervises and coordinates the estimates, design, and drafting of the programs. EPA certified, he has traveled extensively worldwide to provide training to offshore drilling and marine customers. Throughout his career, he has focused on areas such as HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, equipment design, duct design, piping design, electrical design, specifications, and CAD drawings. Mr. McGuirt began in the HVACR profession since 1966 as a laboratory technician for General Electric Company, working 15 years in the design of air conditioning equipment for residential and commercial units. He helped in the development of the first factory heat pump training school for air conditioning technicians. He has served on the advisory boards of Shreveport-Bossier Vocational School, Air Conditioning Training, in Beaumont. A licensed mechanical contractor for air conditioning and refrigeration in Louisiana, he has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
