Syd's Pink Floyd mates David Gilmour and Richard Wright produced his second (and final) solo album of new original songs. Recorded at Abbey Road, "Barrett" came out on Harvest in 1970-and, like all things Barrett, it was largely ignored, misunderstood and destined to be prized as a cult classic. Alternately effervescent and eerie-and featuring lots of playing by Gilmour and Wright, who tried hard to "clean up" Syd's ramshackle style-it includes "Gigolo Aunt," "Baby Lemonade," "It Is Obvious," "Effervescing Elephant," "Wolfpack," "Wined and Dined" and more. 180-gram vinyl reissue!
