During his long career Andrés Segovia made several fundamental recordings of Baroque composers including, of course, his favorite one: Johann Sebastian Bach. Segovia performed and interpreted in a very unforgettable way some of his personal transcripts of works originally for piano and harpsichord by composers such as Frescobladi, Handel and Domenico Scarlatti. Segovia did not make many of these transcripts but all require extraordinary musical skill and completely idiomatic and suitable for guitar. This second IDIS album dedicated to Segovia and the Baroque composers follows IDIS 6400 a best seller re-printed several times, and can be seen as the natural conclusion of survey Segovia Baroque repertoire which is appreciated by artists and public all over the world.
