Celebrating the 60th anniversary of Japan's Electric Boom, this summer themed compilation commemorates the phenomenon ignited in 1965 when young people across Japan picked up Mosrite electric guitars following The Ventures' historic Japan concerts, sparking a nationwide surf and electric instrumental movement, and in 2025 the legendary 1970s Japanese electric instrument newsletter New Eleki Dynamica is officially revived and released to the world alongside the compilation, featuring a powerhouse lineup including The Gamblers, The Revels, The Challengers, Dick Dale and His Del Tones, The Bel Airs, Bob Vaught and The Renegades, The Lively Ones, The Astronauts, The Rarities, and many more, with highlights such as rare single only recordings, world first CD releases, and a brand new song by Japan's world class electric instrumental band The Surf Coasters, making this an essential celebration of surf, electric guitar culture, and the enduring legacy of the Japanese Eleki movement.
