The Baker Gurvitz Army

Baker Gurvitz Army were an English rock group in the 1970's. The band was the combination of members of THE GUN and THREE MAN ARMY, with ex-CREAM drummer Ginger BAKER, guitarist and vocalist Adrian GURVITZ, and bassist Paul GURVITZ. Their self-titled debut album featured a blend of hard rock laced with Ginger Baker's Jazz & Afrobeat influenced drumming. The lengthy "Mad Jack" was that album's featured track, and the album hit the US Billboard 200 chart and peaked at #22. This was the English Prog-Rock group most successful album.
