With this disc Miklos Spanyi completesC.P.E. Bach's set of 'Zweyte Fortsetzung'Sonatas, in itself a continuation of twoprevious sets (Wq 50 and 51). The composer himself clearly regardedthe 18 sonatas of these sets as a majorachievement. All of them are substantial works but thethree included here might be consideredthe most diverse and original of theentire series. Following them on this disc are twoof his last compositions in the sonatagenre. Throughout this series, Miklos Spanyihas often opted for a clavichord,endearing him to many clavichordlovers and music critics.
