About the Author

Steve Palo, known as "Stevie Tree" to his friends and customers, has always had a deep love for trees-and just about anything related to them, from hammocks and leaves to birds and squirrels. Growing up in the 1970s, he spent his days riding his bike up and down the street, stopping to visit with neighbors who became like family.

One of his favorites was Grampa Farmer, who could often be found sitting under an old apple tree, enjoying the breeze and carefully slicing an apple with his jackknife to check for worms. Stevie would also pop in to see Leo and Laura-Leo, a retired plumber, always had a snack to share. In fact, Stevie knew just about everyone on his street, and if a new family moved in, he'd be the first to introduce himself and learn their story. Being a good neighbor wasn't just something he was taught-it came naturally.

That same warmth and curiosity have carried through Steve's life. While he runs a successful tree-trimming business today, he's also revisiting another passion-storytelling. Now, after two decades, he's finally bringing his children's book, Arnie the Ant, to life, sharing his love for nature and adventure with a new generation of readers.
