Ko, Aph: - Aph Ko is a decolonial theorist and independent digital media producer. She has a B.A. in Women's and Gender Studies, and an M.A. in Communication/Media Studies. She is known for writing the first article that listed 100 Black Vegans. She also contributed a short essay about race and animal oppression in the first African American Vegan Starter Guide. She is a founding collective member of the North American Association for Critical Animal Studies.Ko, Syl: - Syl Ko is an independent researcher known for bringing race to the forefront of the movement to end animal abuse. Her writing challenges species-centric terminology and dominant conceptions of veganism, encouraging brave and imaginative shifts in thinking that prioritize multispecies justice.
