Despite my best efforts, I had some difficulty writing another poetry book. My hopes for All Roses are Dead this time of year, are to explain how my life has taken a downward spiral. In my worst moments, I was the worst version of myself. Despite my struggles, I allowed myself to grow. As I have grown up, I have taken on roles I shouldn't have. A phase of acceptance and entering a demon's world. I was brought back to a man that never gave up on me despite the pain and misery I caused him. The first person I ever loved gave me my first rose bouquet. My healing was interrupted when I tried to avoid him only to be drawn back to him. Your love showed me all the reasons, despite my antipathy.
