Dr. Barua, a chemist and professor by profession, loves to travel. No matter where he goes his camera is his constant companion. He enjoys taking photographs of people and places of interest. He sometimes focuses his lens on the obvious, and other times the subtleties, but always captures the magic.
Since the 1950s when he took his first travel photos, he has wanted to share the happiness he felt through his photos, snapshots of the character of the many countries he has visited.
This book is a collection of highlights from his time in 26 incredible countries and 2 awe-inspiring territories. In his journeys he has taken captivating photos of many incredible landmarks, including but not limited to the Taj Mahal in India, the Roman Colosseum and the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, Big Ben and the Buckingham Palace in London, the Grand Canyon and Antelope Canyon in the arid south-western United States, and scenes from renowned natural beauties like Yellowstone, Zion, and Arches National Parks, as well as Niagara Falls, wildlife and the great migration of wildebeests in Kenya and Tanzania, and the Himalayas. He has also captured man-made marvels like the Statue of Liberty and Times Square in New York City, magnificent architectural buildings in Chicago, magnificent temples in Nepal, and floating markets in Bangkok, Thailand. Accompanying his photos are brief description of each spectacular destination.
