Koyo's Odyssey

He may have seemed like a young maple leaf, but Koyo had gifts that made him a valuable part of his mother tree, Momiji. Being double-jointed, he was able to move to help catch sunlight and turn it into nutrients for himself, other leaves and Momiji. Yet Koyo desired an adventure of a lifetime, one that happens in author Jim Stevenson's latest children's book, Koyo's Odyssey. Each day, Koyo lived life to the fullest, yet his gift of ancient knowledge and abilities led him to be bullied by other leaves. As he matured, he talked with God more and appreciated being made by the Creator. However, Koyo knew with the changing of the leaves, his life would soon be no more. One night, he prayed to God, asking for one great adventure before his time was up; a prayer God answers in an exciting way, as part of Koyo's Odyssey.
